MARCH 25, 2024 – – – The JRR Motorsports team invaded the states of Indiana and Ohio on March 23-24 for a pair of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series battles. On Saturday in the annual ‘Indiana Icebreaker’ at the legendary Brownstown Speedway in Brownstown, Indiana, Daulton Wilson knocked down the second fastest lap in Group B during the qualifying session before running second in his stacked heat race. After starting eighth on the grid in the $15,000 to win headliner, Daulton fought hard to stay inside of the top ten and did just that – finishing the 50-lap contest in the tenth position.
The dirt-slinging action then quickly shifted to Atomic Speedway in Alma, Ohio on Sunday for the annual running of the ‘Buckeye Spring 50,’ which shelled out a $12,000 top prize. Daulton posted the eighth quickest time in Group B during qualifying and later grabbed the third transfer spot through his heat race. After rolling off from the outside of the sixth row in the 50-lapper, the Fayetteville, North Carolina ace was able to move up one position during the race to cross underneath the checkers in the eleventh spot. Daulton now finds himself sixth in the latest version of the heated LOLMDS point standings exiting the doubleheader. Complete results can be located online by visiting www.lucasdirt.com.
