MAY 5, 2024 – – – Fayetteville, North Carolina ace Daulton Wilson was in action on Friday night, May 3 at Ultimate Motorsports Park in Elkin, North Carolina. The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series presided over the $10,000 to win shootout, which drew 37 competitors to the Koehler family-owned facility. Daulton clicked off the quickest time in Group A during the qualifying session before securing a victory in his heat race. He was then leading the 50-lap headliner when he busted the radiator on lap 28. The terminal mechanical problems dropped “Big Perm” to a disappointing fifteenth place showing.

Saturday’s annual ‘Ralph Latham Memorial’ at Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky was then washed out due to wet weather. The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series special, which was set to pay $15,000 to the winner, will not be rescheduled.
