APRIL 29, 2024 – – – The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series season heated back up from April 26-28 with scheduled events at Georgetown Speedway in Georgetown, Delaware, Hagerstown Speedway in Hagerstown, Maryland, and Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. Up first was the ‘Melvin L. Joseph Memorial’ at Georgetown on Friday night, which boasted a $19,049 first place prize. Daulton Wilson grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his stacked heat race and later started the 49-lap feature from the inside of the seventh row. Daulton then worked his way past four competitors during the A-Main to land inside of the top ten in the ninth spot.

Following a rain-out of the ‘Conococheague 50’ on Saturday at Hagerstown, the weekend wrapped up at Port Royal on Sunday with the $10,000 to win ‘Battle in the Borough.’ Daulton ran second in his heat race during preliminary action, but later slipped back late in the 40-lap main event. At the checkers, the Fayetteville, North Carolina ace found himself in the sixteenth finishing position. Daulton now finds himself sixth in the latest version of the heated LOLMDS point standings heading into the month of May.
