JUNE 17, 2024 – – – It was a busy weekend for Daulton Wilson, as he competed at both Smoky Mountain Speedway in Maryville, Tennessee and Ultimate Motorsports Park in Elkin, North Carolina from June 14-16. In night one of the ‘Mountain Moonshine Classic’ on Friday at Smoky Mountain, Daulton won his heat race prior to finishing fifth in the 40-lap feature behind only $10,000 victor Ricky Thornton, Jr., Tim McCreadie, Dale McDowell, and Devin Moran. With a whopping $50,000 payday on the line on Saturday night, Daulton placed seventh in his heat race, fourth in his B-Main, and eighteenth in the 60-lapper.

The dirt-slinging action quickly shifted to Elkin on Sunday evening for the inaugural running of the ‘Sidney Langston Memorial,’ which shelled out a $15,000 top prize. Daulton clicked off the quickest lap overall during qualifying and later started the 40-lap headliner from the pole position. The Fayetteville, North Carolina ace then led laps 1-24 and lap 32 before eventually settling for an impressive runner-up performance behind only race winner Hudson O’Neal!
