FEBRUARY 17, 2024 – – – Due to on-and-off rain this morning and a weather model showing worsening conditions throughout the day and into the night, officials have canceled the $16,000 to win ‘DIRTcar Nationals’ Saturday finale at Volusia Speedway Park. (Josh James Artwork)

FEBRUARY 16, 2024 – – – The penultimate event of the 53rd Annual ‘DIRTcar Nationals’ was held earlier this evening at the sprawling Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. The World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series spectacular drew a 47 car field to vie for the $16,000 top prize.  Daulton Wilson timed in seventh fastest in Group B during qualifying and later grabbed the fourth and final transfer spot through his stacked heat race.  The Fayetteville, North Carolina standout was then running inside of the top ten late in the 40-lapper before contact from another competitor sent him hard into the turn four wall and relegated him to a disappointing nineteenth place effort.

FEBRUARY 15, 2024 – – – The World of Outlaws CASE Construction Late Model Series roared into Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida tonight to preside over a $12,000 to win shootout.  Daulton Wilson knocked down the seventh quickest lap in Group A during the time trial session prior to finishing second in his loaded heat race.  He then started the 35-lap main event from the inside of the fourth row before nabbing a strong fifth place performance behind only race winner Nick Hoffman, Chris Madden, Bobby Pierce, and Ricky Thornton, Jr.!

FEBRUARY 14, 2024 – – – Tonight’s DIRTcar Racing program at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida came with a twist, as every car in the pit area competed in one of the three Triple 20 features that each carried a $5,000 winner’s check.  Daulton Wilson laid down the fifth quickest lap in his group during qualifying, which locked him into the inside of the third row for the start of his 20-lap sprint.  The popular young driver known as “Big Perm” then moved past two cars on his way to landing on the podium in third behind only victor Brandon Sheppard and runner-up Ryan Gustin.  In the rain-postponed A-Main from Monday, Daulton once again advanced two spots during the 25-lapper to claim a solid seventh place outing.

FEBRUARY 13, 2024 – – – Night two of the ‘DIRTcar Nationals’ took place earlier this evening at Volusia Speedway Park, which is conveniently located close to Daytona Beach, and another $7,000 payday was up for grabs for the ground-pounding Super Late Models.  Daulton Wilson stopped the clock sixth quickest in his group during time trials before running sixth in his heat race and second in his B-Main.  After rolling off from the outside of the twelfth row in the 25-lapper, Daulton was able to streak past thirteen competitors during the feature en route to salvaging an eleventh place showing.

FEBRUARY 12, 2024 – – – The 53rd edition of the ‘DIRTcar Nationals’ for the Super Late Models kicked off tonight at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida, as DIRTcar Racing presided over a $7,000 to win event at the 1/2-mile speedplant.  Daulton Wilson, fresh off his huge East Bay triumph on Saturday, qualified fourth quickest in his group during qualifying prior to placing third in his heat race.  The Fayetteville, North Carolina ace was then scheduled to start the 25-lap main event from the inside of the fifth row, but Mother Nature had other plans and the A-Main was pushed back to Wednesday evening due to heavy rain showers.
