MAY 18, 2024 – – – Daulton Wilson and the JRR Motorsports team was in Indianapolis, Indiana on Friday night, May 17 for the $10,000 to win ‘C.J. Rayburn Tribute’ race. The Northern Allstars Late Model Dirt Series sanctioned the special event at Circle City Raceway and 26 Super Late Model competitors were in the pit area.
The Fayetteville, North Carolina ace was fast right out of the box by earning Fast Time honors during the qualifying session prior to picking up a heat race triumph. After starting the 40-lapper from the pole position and leading the first 21 circuits, Daulton was unfortunately caught up in a hard incident with a lapped car while out front of the field. The resulting damage to the right rear and spoiler of the car helped drop “Big Perm” to a disappointing eighth place finish.
