APRIL 28, 2024 – – – Justin Rattliff and the #16 JRR Motorsports team invaded Richmond Raceway in Richmond, Kentucky on Saturday evening, April 27 for the track’s season-opening program. The Fastrak Racing Series presided over the 604 Crate Late Model portion of the show and a $3,000 top prize was up for grabs.
Justin knocked down the third quickest time overall during the qualifying session prior to running second in heat race action. After starting third on the grid in the A-Main, the Campbellsville, Kentucky ace crossed underneath the checkers in the second position behind only winner Dustin Linville. However, when questioned about some of the starts/restarts post-race, series officials suddenly wanted to tear down the cylinder heads, headers, axles, and carburetor on the #16 machine. With the limited pay for second, the team elected not to tear down and was relegated to a disappointing fourteenth place finish with the disqualification.
