JUNE 23, 2024 – – – JRR Motorsports made their way to Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania from June 20-22 for the 18th Annual ‘Firecracker 100,’ which was once again sanctioned by the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series and kicked off with a pair of $5,000 to win, split-field preliminary programs. On Thursday night, Daulton Wilson won his heat race and later ran a strong fourth in his 25-lap main event behind only winner Jonathan Davenport, Chub Frank, and Drake Troutman. In a similar show on Friday evening, Daulton placed second in his heat race, but unfortunately drew a lap 16 caution flag in his 25-lapper and was relegated to a thirteenth place showing.
When Saturday rolled around in the Keystone State, a huge crowd was on hand to witness the finale of the ‘Firecracker 100,’ which boasted a whopping $50,000 first place prize. Daulton ran second in his stacked heat race to earn the outside of the fifth row for the start of the 100-lap crown jewel headliner. The Fayetteville, North Carolina standout then battled hard for a top ten showing in the contest before winding up eleventh at the unfurling of the checkered flag.
