AUGUST 11, 2024 – – – Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series action heated back up from August 8-10 with the 42nd Annual ‘North/South 100’ at Florence Speedway in Union, Kentucky. The three-day crown jewel spectacular kicked off with a pair of split-field, $6,000 to win preliminary programs. On Thursday night, Daulton Wilson ran third in his heat race prior to placing eleventh in the final rundown of his 25-lap feature event. With another $6,000 payday on the line on Friday, Daulton finished third in his heat race once again and later climbed to eighth in his 25-lapper.
The stakes were raised on Saturday evening in the ‘North/South 100’ grand finale, as a whopping $75,000 first place prize was up for grabs in front of a standing-room-only crowd. Daulton won his loaded heat race to earn the pole position for the 100-lap crown jewel headliner. The Fayetteville, North Carolina hotshoe then raced all over the top ten throughout the extra-distance affair and ultimately wound up seventh at the unfurling of the checkered flag.
