Wilson Grabs Pair of Top Fives in Silver Dollar Nationals Weekend

JULY 21, 2024 – – – The JRR Motorsports team followed the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series to Huset’s Speedway in Brandon, South Dakota from July 18-20 for the annual running of the ‘Silver Dollar Nationals.’ In the first of two prelim nights on Thursday, Daulton Wilson earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying session before winning his heat race and finishing third in the 40-lap opener behind only $10,000 winner Bobby Pierce and runner-up Brandon Sheppard. With another $10,000 payday on the line on Friday night, Daulton ran second in his heat race and fourth in the 40-lapper behind only victor Pierce, Devin Moran, and Tim McCreadie.

On Saturday evening at Huset’s Speedway, a whopping $53,000 first place prize was up for grabs in the ‘Silver Dollar Nationals’ grand finale. By virtue of racking up the third most points during preliminary action, Daulton rolled off from the inside of the second row in the 80-lap headliner. The Fayetteville, North Carolina ace hung around the front of the field early in the ‘Silver Dollar Nationals’ before winding up ninth in the final rundown. Daulton currently finds himself eighth in the latest version of the LOLMDS point standings exiting Huset’s.
