APRIL 21, 2024 – – – After Friday’s Schaeffer’s Oil Spring Nationals Series showdown at Ponderosa Speedway in Junction City, Kentucky was nixed due to unsafe track conditions, Daulton Wilson and JRR Motorsports made the short trek to Lake Cumberland Speedway in Burnside, Kentucky on Saturday evening, April 20 for the annual ‘Johnny Wheeler Memorial.’ The Spring Nationals sanctioned the single-day program, which drew 27 entrants to vie for the $10,053 first place prize.

Daulton clicked off the seventh fastest lap overall during the qualifying session before grabbing the third transfer spot through his heat race. After rolling off from the inside of the fourth row in the 53-lap headliner, the Fayetteville, North Carolina ace was able to work his way past a couple of competitors to land inside of the top five. Daulton placed fifth at the checkers behind only victor Camaron Marlar, Josh Rice, Pearson Lee Williams, and Jason Jameson.
